The Spanish Association for the Promotion of Research and Fire Safety Technology “AFITI”
Is constituted as a non-profit association, under the Law 191/1964, via founding act of March 27, 1987.
AFITI was born with the aim of managing the LICOF Centre for Fire Testing and Research, the official fire testing laboratory of the Ministry of Industry established in 1975. Over the years it has evolved, expanding its range of services, giving rise to what is AFITI today: a benchmark in the area of fire safety in Spain.
