AFITI has been recognized by the General Directorate of Architecture, Housing and Land of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda as the competent entity to carry out certification of the performance of fire curtains within the framework of the CTE.

Obtaining the Technical Suitability Document, DIT, in compliance with art. 5.3 of the Regulation on Fire Protection Installations, RIPCI (RD 513/2017), AFITI is a collaborating entity of the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Sciences (IETcc) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) in the activities related to the favourable technical assessment of suitability for the intended use of non-traditional or innovative fire protection products for which there is no standard and there is a risk, within the framework of the RIPCI.
